[Repeated from Friday 5.30pm.] A showcase for records of contemporary experimental and underground music, hosted by Ed Pinsent. Tonight: the music of Masayuki Takayanagi (1932-1991). We devote an entire show to records made by this unique improvising guitarist, showcasing tracks from his 1970s and 1980s albums such as Angry Waves 850113, Axis - Another Revolvable Thing Vol.1, Meta Improvisation, Reason for Being, Lonely Woman, Cool Jojo, and Action Direct. He is currently a member of 3 sounds, runs two regular events and is a founder of YouTube channel, Selectors Showcase. He has played in Europe and America, both as MC and Selector. In the '90s he worked at the infamous Daddy Kool's record shop in London's Soho too, bet there are a few tales from that era! Sound System Stories is an oral history of UK Reggae sound system culture, presented and produced by Zoë Baxter.

Polemic, politics, mouth jazz and spontaneous music with Ben Watson. Today: Ben presents recordings made by AMM All-Stars at the Betsey Trotwood at their Friday lunchtime residency, where they constituted an Electric Quartet: Bill O'Connor on electric guitar with effects; Dave Black on electric guitar without effects; Graham Davis on electric keyboards and synth; Out To Lunch on electric keyboards, acoustic guitar and word jazz responding to Immanuel Kant's Critique of Pure Reason. Flute by Barbara Makoda (some recorded the same Friday, though in a different place) was added xenochronically in post-production, leading to the show being called "Uncanny Proximity of Like Minds". [Repeats Sunday 6am.]
