The News Agents

[Repeated from Saturday 3pm.] Experiments in international news and arts with Jude Montague. This week: saxophonist and composer David Zucchi discusses his project and CD release Mandi on People Places Records. This, his debut composing album combines sax, looping and arrangement with the recordings of a collection of reel-to-reels recorded by his father’s family in 1959 on a Geloso G. 255 recording device. He describes the tracks as elaborations on and reconstructions of the words, songs, and music of these tapes.
