He discusses his new book, A Brief History of Sound Recording: Fully Incomplete & Highly Biased, a richly illustrated, deeply researched and deliberately unconventional guide to the history of recorded sound. Emerging from a decade of work at MOPS, the book moves through recordings, artefacts and listening essays to offer a personal, provocative map of how sound has been captured, shaped and understood.
