On Bonanza & Son at 4pm, Martyn Myers is joined by Mad Staring Eyes whose latest album, ‘Talking to the Operator’ on Commercial Arts/Proper Music, has been taken by the band on a heavy, UK touring schedule as well as taking in all the top festivals including Bestival. The band hail from North London and have been playing together since they were 15 years old. If you are not familiar with the band imagine a kind of Avant-Country family band akin to The Carter Family but with London accents and a contemporary edge. Their wistful tunes will tug at your heartstrings and the whirling upbeat numbers will lift your boot-heels onto the dancefloor in your living-room.
