In Talking Africa at 1pm today, Sonny Decker discusses Nepad’s Southern African Network for Biosciences initiative (SANBio), a programme designed to use bio-science to alleviate poverty and enhance sustainable development within Africa’s SADC (Southern Africa Development Community) region. He talks to Professor Mumba, the director of the SANBio initiative; and to Charles Kojo Abroba Vandyke, capacity building officer at the West African Civil Society Institute (WACSI), on the institute’s programme to strengthen capacity and impact of civil society within Francophone West Africa.
