The Free University of the Airwaves starts on Monday 20 August at noon. This year we focus on sound arts, starting with a series of lectures recorded at the Supersonix conference held between 20 and 23 June 2012, part of the Exhibition Road Cultural Group Project. Throughout the series you will hear a range of discussions and debates about sound and its relationship with art, history, the human body, architectural space and listening. Today’s lectures comprise Sha Xin Wei, Research Director of Topology Media Lab, Concordia University, discussing Sound Art as an alchemical science of time and movement (12 noon); David McApline, lecturing on Creating a Sense of Space (1:30pm); Barry Blesser and Linda-Ruth Salter, both independent scholars, presenting ‘The Aural Experience of Place: Expanding the Framework’ (3pm); and the artist Bernhard Leitner, exploring the concept of Ear Space Body Sound (4:25pm). In between today’s lectures, we have extracts from David Behrmann’s Unforeseen Events and Peter Cusack’s Sounds From Dangerous Places.

Hello,
I am trying to find information on the Supersonix conference and wondered where I might hear these recordings. Are they due for broadcast on ResonanceFM anytime soon, or is there somewhere else where I might find the recordings which were broadcast in August?
Many thanks for your help,
F
