African art and culture, Polish art and culture, sports cuts, Murray Bookchin – early evening highlights

A post-Olympic theme forms the core of today’s edition of African Essence from 5:00pm. Then, at 6:00pm, Polish Deli. Polish Deli is  a bilingual programme dedicated to Polish independent and alternative art. Kacper Ziemianin hosts.

Relational Athletics  – 6:30pm – looks at the impact of austerity cuts to grass roots sports and recreation organisations in the U.K. This programme takes the form of an arid reading of a list published by False Economy, the voice-over artists’ slips and errors are included. In I’m Ready For My Close-Up - 7:10pm – Richard Thomas talks to film maker Mark Saunders about his forthcoming documentary, Bookchin on Bookchin.  The film examines the life and ideas of the seminal anarchist thinker, writer, activist, Murray Bookchin.
