Tuesday highlights: Daniel Miller, Michael Horovitz, “détournement olympique” and text sonification

The cold wave thaws for summer… In the last in the current series of A Colder Consciousness, British synth-wave originator and founder of Mute Records, Daniel Miller, talks to Flora Pitrolo. Miller discusses the early years of  the Mute label and its  lasting legacy.  Tune in from 5:30pm.  Anjan Saha discusses poetry with the seminal poet, publisher, activist Michael Horovitz in London Literature Lounge at 6:30pm. ” Détournement olympique”…  fragments from the London 2012 Olympics media frenzy are are blasted into broadcast space at 7:30pm in a mini-edition of Relational Athletics produced by DJ Foreign Extra. This evening’s Clear Spot – 8:00pm –  is produced by MA Sound Arts students from the London College of Communication. This broadcast is focused on the sonification of texts and the “textification” of sound.
