An exclusive broadcast live from AV Festival 2010 at 7:30pm. Devised by artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, Silent Sound is part classical concert part public séance, drawing on 19th century Spiritualist public performances, particularly those of The Davenport Brothers. The Davenports were famed for attempting to contact the souls of the dead using their ‘spirit cabinet’. To make this remarkable project the artists joined forces with musician Jason Pierce (Spiritualized), leading parapsychologist Dr Ciarán O’Keeffe (TV’s Most Haunted) and Infrasound specialist Steve Parsons.

Concert sounded good within the audible spectrum anyway, just a shame we didn’t get to hear Dr Ciaran O’Keefe’s debrief.
