Cultural Co-operation’s weekly live radio broadcast, London Diaspora Live, this week features groundbreaking fusion band Ozi Ozaa, mixing traditional Ghanaian music with many other genres from around the world. The band members are from diverse backgrounds, including Israel, Spain and Nigeria, and each member brings music from their respective countries to the mix. Instrumentally, the group consists of electric guitar and bass, drum kit, trumpet, vocals (sung both in Ga, the regional language of Accra, and English) and African percussion. Founding members Yaw Asumadu and Rob Navratil will talk about their current projects and play live with the rest of the band. Presented by Gabrielle Messeder.
