On Monday July 7th Hectic Peelers - Resonance FM and Electric Sheep Magazine’s monthly film club - screens Jan Nemec’s banned 1966 classic, The Party And The Guests. A film that resembles a form of al fresco theatre, that is also partially a satire of Antonin Novotny’s Czechoslovakia and possibly a critique of cinematic conventions. Jan Nemec has a reputation as a maverick, and this movie does very little to contradict that notion. For a more detailed review click here.
