Simply the greatest film composer ever. As a musician myself I was greatly influenced by maurice though obviously I was a humble dance music producer. Dr zhivago still stands up as the greatest film score ever but that is not to belittle all the other glorious scores maurice did, I have a few CDs and will be making an electronic music tribute of interpretations early next year. I always dreamt of writing a script, having it filmed and insisting on this genius composing the score. Sadly that can never happen. God rest this beautiful and talented soul in heaven. You were an inspiration.
