A Sound Map Of The Roman Baths

[Repeated from Monday 3pm.] Created by musician and composer Chris Cundy, this five part series follows a year-long collaboration with poet Adam Horovitz and researcher artist Dominyka Vinčaitė as they delve into the subterranean sound world of The Roman Baths, part of the UNESCO world heritage site in Bath. With original music, poetry, field recordings, readings of ancient curse texts, interviews and library recordings. Musicians featured: Angharad Davies, Bruno Guastalla, Emi Watanabe, Chris Cundy, Emil Karlsen, Mark Sanders, Ladan Hussein, and Eventless Plot. This week: Episode II. Absence of Evidence Is Not Evidence of Absence. We visit the Temple of Sulis Minerva and explore the pantheon of gods and goddesses worshipped here in ancient times.
